NUST Career Fair & Open Day 2026 Begins on a High Note!

The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) today successfully launched the 2026 Career Fair and Open Day, with an impressive turnout of learners from more than a dozen schools and colleges eager to explore their academic and career futures

Held at the NUST Sports Field and running from 24–26 June 2026, the event brings together students, educators, industry leaders, higher education institutions, and career development professionals in a dynamic platform designed to bridge the gap between education and industry.

Throughout the day, learners participated in engaging workshops and interactive exhibitions hosted by various NUST faculties and departments, gaining valuable insights into the University's diverse academic programmes, cutting-edge research, innovation initiatives, and student life. Departments including Radiography, Agricultural Sciences, Informatics, and many others showcased exciting opportunities available to prospective students

The event was further enriched by the participation of industry experts and organisations from across various sectors  who shared practical career guidance, industry expectations, and emerging opportunities through exhibitions, presentations, and interactive career talks.

The fair drew participation from a number of external stakeholders such as the Ministry of Public Service, labour and Social Welfare, the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ), Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, Lupane State University, Standards Association of Zimbabwe, Mukuru, Radiation Protection Authority of Zimbabwe, Elevate  Trust and IPMZ with more expected to participate in the remaining days.

Their presence provided learners with invaluable firsthand perspectives on the realities and possibilities within today's evolving world of work.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere were exciting entertainment activities, including a spirited dance competition that had students showcasing their talent, enthusiasm, and school pride while creating memorable moments throughout the day.

As the Career Fair and Open Day continues through Friday, 26 June, even more schools, colleges, and stakeholders are expected to join the programme, making it an even bigger platform for learning, networking, discovery, and inspiration.
